I am wanting to experiment with excess auxin and cytokinin for bonsai. I’d love more branches in an area so I add cytokinin in the up stream and boom the latent buds send shoots. And vise versa with auxin and roots. I am worried about callousing if they mix so that’s why direct inserting would be nice. I could just as easily take it in steps though. It would also be cool depending on concentrates you can isolate a branch in treatment allowing a hole or space to be filled. I imagine caliper has a... Are xylem and phloem 1 cell wide? Or are they wider? A tissue is defined as a collection of cells that have the same origin, function and structure. Xylems and phloems have similar structure, and they both originate from primary meristem cells. Now, one of them carries nutrients from the root to leaf cells, and the other one carries food from leaves to the whole plant. These are said to be "different functions", but my question is how dissimilar do two functions have to be to be considered different? Can't I argue these are similar enough that w...
